With two main rain seasons in Uganda, Rain Water Harvesting just makes good sense. There is nothing easier than to catch the rain. Did you know a 1,000 square foot roof will capture 625 gallons of clean water for every inch of rainfall? Now that is a sustainable water source.
The gift of a rainwater harvesting tank enables rainwater to be collected from rooftops using a system of gutters and pipes and stores it in 5,000 litres tanks which are often connected to a network of taps. The tank has a mesh at the inlet to remove dirt that may accumulate on the roofs.
